SAFESTORE SCOOPS PRESTIGIOUS RUBAN d’HONNEUR
Safestore stepped ahead of tough competition to be selected for a prestigious Ruban d’Honneur in round two of the European Business Awards sponsored by HSBC. Receiving a Ruban d’Honneur is an impressive achievement and celebrates businesses who demonstrate exceptional performance within their sector.

Training Journal 2009 Awards & the HR Excellence Awards 2009
At the Training Journal (TJ) 2009 awards in London, held annually to recognise excellence in learning and development initiatives. The HR team scooped the top special achievement award for best overall entry. Safestore's submission was selected from the 11 category winners, which included Birmingham City Council, Specsavers and BBC Training and Development.
Earlier in the evening Safestore won Best Change Management Programme category for the change initiative following the company's acquisition of Mentmore, which added over 50 UK and French sites to Safestore's existing outlets.
Judges extolled the virtues of the programme, saying the project demonstrated realism as it was driven by the HR team and the company's people.
Safestore also picked up a highly commended prize for "Most Succesful Change Management Project" at the HR Excellence 2009 awards.
These awards builds on a raft of HR, learning and development honours Safestore has picked up, including the National Training Awards 2008, World of Learning 2008 awards and retaining the company’s IIP recognition for the last 10 years.
